Alexander Morozov’s Anniversary Concert “V Gornitse Moyey Svetlo” (It’s Still a Light in My Room)

On April 6,  2018, the State Kremlin Palace will host the anniversary concert “V Gornitse Moyey Svetlo” (“It’s Still a Light in My Room”) by People’s Artist of Russia, legendary composer Alexander Morozov.

Holder of multiple TV awards “Pesnya Goda” (“Song of the Year”) and “Shanson Goda” (“Chanson of the Year”), distinguished maestro of Russian music Alexander Morozov will celebrate with us the 50-year anniversary of his career and his 70th birthday.

Five generations of music stars were honored to perform Morozov’s songs: Edita Piekha, Iosif Kobzon, Alla Pugacheva, Lev Leshchenko, Filipp Kirkorov, Nikolay Baskov, Larisa Dolina, Sofia Rotaru, Nadezhda Babkina, Pelageya, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Laima Vaikule, Valery Leontiev, Yaroslav Evdokimov, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Turetsky Choir, Pyatnitsky Folk Choir, Vitas, Marina Kapuro and “FORUM”, Polina Gagarina, Aleksandr Panayotov, Sergei Volchkov, Hieromonk Fotius and many young participants of “Voice” and “Winner” contests, festivals “Slavic Bazaar”, “Zhara” and “New Wave”.

 Morozov’s songs “V Gornitse” (In My Room), “Malinovy Zvon”(Ring of Malin Bells), “Dusha Bolit” (My Soul in Pain), “Zorka Alaya” (Crimson Dawn), “Domik, Oknami V Sad” (Small House Looking into Garden), “Kukla” (Doll), “Po kamushkam” (Small Stones under Feet), “V Krayu Magnoliy” (In the country of Magnolias), “Fantaser” (Dreamer), “Golub Sizokryly” (Blue-winged Dove), “Lyubite Poka Lyubitsa”(Love Whenever You Can), “Ptashechka” (Birdie), “Uleteli Listya” (Leaves Flew away), “Ostrovok” (Small Island), “Belaya Noch” (White Night), “Neprimetnaya Krasota”(Inconspicuous Beauty), “Khrustalnye Tsepi” (Crystal Chains), “Mosty” (Bridges), “Marinochka, Marina”, “A Ty Sebya Poberegi” (Take Care), “Kaliny Kust” (Snowball Bush), “Za Dunaem” (Over Danube), “Travy Pakhnut Myatoyu” (Grasses Smell of Mint) and 1500 more became the “golden fund” of Russian music. Some of them are already recognized folk songs.

You are going to hear Morozov’s best songs performed by the maestro himself and famous Russian pop stars. But the composer mentions that his favorite performer is his audience that has been loyal to him for fifty years. This means you all are going to sing along with him.
