Charity Concert Dedicated to the Memory of Dmitry Hvorostovsky
On November 22 last year Russian culture suffered an irreparable loss: the outstanding opera singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky passed away.
His talent is known and appreciated all over the world: the Bolshoi Theatre, La Scala, Metropolitan Opera and Covent Garden, as well as many other prestigious theatres in Russia and abroad applauded to his singing.
He was valued not only for classical repertoire, but also for his surprisingly accurate interpretations of romances and Russian folk songs.
On the birthday of the maestro, his colleagues will remember him on the stage: Ildar Abdrazakov, Aida Garifullina, Marcelo Alvarez, Angela Gheorghiu, the choir and orchestra of “The New Opera” theater, directed by Konstantin Orbelian.
This concert will remind all connoisseurs of Hvorostovsky’s talen that despite the death of the singer, his incredible aura, voice and image will forever remain in our memory.
