On October 17, the Diplomatic Hall of the State Kremlin Palace will host the first concert of the international project Brazilian Musicians Conquer the World that is part of the Russian tour of the Brazilians.
Since 2012, when Érika Vilela, the pianist and teacher from Goiânia, started the project, its goal has been to popularize and share Brazilian classical music through the participation of young talents and professional musicians in musical events in the major cultural and historical centers of the world. In the 6 years of the project's existence, concerts have been held in nine cities around the world: Vienna, Salzburg, Rome, Milan, Tunis, Madrid, Barcelona, New York and Paris. The concerts were held in many famous halls, including the Schönbrunn Palace, Grand Opera and Carnegie Hall . The musical events allow to solve the important tasks of the popularization of Brazilian classical music abroad through concerts, with a joint performance of young (from 6 to 16 years old) talents and professional musicians; the strengthening of cultural, political and social ties between Brazil and other countries of the world; the creation of motivation to study Brazilian classical music, the opportunity for young talents to express themselves within the framework of a high-level event abroad.
The repertoire includes works by well-known Brazilian composers: Heitor Villa-Lobos, Francisco Mignone, César Guerra-Peixe, Ronaldo Miranda, Marlos Nobre, Camargo Guarnieri, Oscar Lorenzo Fernández, Estercio Marquez Cunha etc.
Among the objectives of the Brazilian Musicians Conquer the World project is the development of talents of Brazilian children and adolescents from low-income families. Thanks to the sponsorship provided by representatives of different countries, the social dimension of the project is being fulfilled. Young musicians who do not have financial resources receive a chance to participate in international concerts. The group touring Russia includes 16 pianists and another 34 performers who will be on the stage of the Kremlin Palace this evening.
Today the Brazilian musicians conquer the world project has won recognition both at home and abroad. The world mass media dedicate their reports and interviews to the project.
