The rapid ascent of the musician began in 1998, after his victory at the 11th Tchaikovsky International Contest in Moscow.

Today Denis Matsuev is a desired guest of large concert halls all over the world, an indispensable participant of the largest music festivals, and a constant partner of leading symphony orchestras in Russia, Europe, North America and Asia.

Despite the exceptional demand abroad, Denis Matsuev considers the development of concert and philharmonic activities in Russia to be his main priority, and performs a significant part of his concert programs, especially premieres, at home.
