Denis Mazhukov is a unique Russian pianist and singer of boogie, rhythm and blues and rock'n'roll at the international level. The artist successfully performs in the USA and Europe in clubs and at festivals of boogie woogie and rockabilly, and also in concert halls.
He is described as the unprecedented virtuoso of the rock'n'roll play: perfection of the technique, quality sound, enormous temperament, faultless sense of style are distinctive properties of the artist. Denis Mazhukov participated in the Moscow concerts of the kings of rock'n'roll Jerry Lee Lewis and outstanding guitarist and author of a half of classical rock'n'roll songs Chuck Berry. Elvis Presley on seeing Jerry Lee Lewis perform: "If I could play the piano the way he does, I would stop singing." Jerry Lee Lewis on seen Mazhukov performance said: "You play as I did in my youth."
It should be noted that Mazhukov is the first and only musician from Russia who has recorded an album at the legendary Sun Records studio in Memphis, the State of Tennessee, in the birthplace of a rock'n'roll! In the 1950-60s Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and others recorded here. It is also important to know that Denis Mazhukov performed as the headliner at the closing of Summer Jamboree Rock-n-roll festival - the greatest nine-day rock'n'roll festival in Europe - in August, 2015. He was the first Russian to perform in the long-term history of the festival.
The extensive program of Denis Mazhukov includes Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and Ray Charles hits, as well as lesser known works different in rhythm and mood. Mazhukov's knowledge of this area is impressive. He is capable to perform in two concerts two completely different programs, including his own compositions.
