On November 01 legendary performer Harout Pamboukjian will present a program featuring both popular hits and numerous new songs on the stage of the Kremlin Palace.
Harout Pamboukjian, better known as Dzakh Harout, was born in 1950 in Yerevan. He learned to play the guitar, bouzouki, saze, drums and the piano and he founded the “Erebuni” band. In 1975 he moved to Lebanon and later on he settled in the USA. Two months after the arrival in Los Angeles, he created a studio band and recorded an album.
In the years of his acting career Honored Artist of Armenia Harout Pamboukjian has recorded over 20 albums, each becoming a true embodiment of the unique culture and beautiful music.
For several decades Dzakh Harout has been a genuine national favorite. His unique manner of performance and touching soulful songs have earned him the love of Armenians regardless of living place and age. This outstanding performer of folk and patriotic songs pleases the audience with lyrical and inspiring performances for many years. These songs reflect all the depth and the culture of Armenia people.
Dzakh Harout has been actively involved in charity and in public activities of the Armenian Diaspora both in the USA and in his homeland.
In the late 1980s Dzakh Harout came with 28 concerts in Armenia. Hundreds of thousands of people filled the “Razdan” stadium to hear the legendary singer’s songs. These were the most attended concerts in the history of Armenia.
