A long-standing European tradition to celebrate Christmas and New Year with the music of Johann Strauss, inspired the CONCORD ORCHESTRA to create an annual show on the New Year's Eve. Strauss music is so beautiful and harmonious that one wants to listen it repeatedly. The Johann Strauss Snow-White Ball New Year Show will help you to make sure of this.
This is a terrific event filled with the magnificent music of the waltz king and magical dances. The waltzes of the Viennese composer are considered by many to be the benchmark of dance music performed on New Year's Eve everywhere in the world.
On December 23, 2018, at 18:00, the CONCORD ORCHESTRA invites you to its annual Johann Strauss Snow-White Ball New Year Show. Traditionally, this New Year Eve show will be held on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace.
The new program of this show includes the most popular waltzes, polkas and marches: “The Imperial Waltz”, “Spring Voices”, “TheBlue Danube" and, of course, the world most famous waltz “Tales from the Vienna Woods” (“Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald”). The program completes with the famous “Radetzky March” (“Radetzky-Marsch”).
When the latter is performed, the audience usually beats the beat, and the conductor turns his face to them and conducts this applause.
The program involves by the CONCORD ORCHESTRA under the direction of artistic director and chief conductor Fabio Pirola (Italy), Vladimir Celebrovsky, Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia, Tamara Marchenko, soloist of St. Petersburg Opera and Ballet Theatre and Larisa Elina, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre.
The true adornment of the New Year's show will be the performance of dancers, prize-winners of Russia tournament in ballroom dances. Fans of the famous Viennese composer will be able to enjoy not only the splendor waltzes performed by the famous orchestra, but also ballroom dances of the best dance pairs of Russia.
