Jubilee Concert “Dmitry Revyakin’s 55th Anniversary”, Kalinov Bridge band
The Kalinov Bridge band invites you to celebrate the anniversary of its mastermind and longtime leader Dmitry Revyakin at a gala concert on 27 February 2019 in the heart of the capital – the State Kremlin Palace. The anniversary celebrant will be hailed at the concert by the musician’s friends, actors and Russian rock stars, such as Garik Sukachev, Pelageya, Alexander F. Sklyar, Stas Namin, Tatiana Antsiferova, Andrey Merzlikin, Vladimir Presnyakov, “25/17”, Folklore Ensemble “Chitinkaya Sloboda” and many others.
“Kalinov Bridge” is one of the few bands that can rightfully bear the title of a Russian rock legend.
The group’s birthplace is Novosibirsk, and the bandleader’s cradle and songwriter Dmitry Revyakin is Trans-Baikal region, where he spent his childhood and where he still draws life power and artistic inspiration. Journalists often define the band’s musical style as folk rock, but the musicians themselves have repeatedly rejected this label. Kalinov Bridge, like any other truly creative and original band, does not fit into any known style. Dmitry Revyakin feels attachment to the Cossack culture and spirit. He has repeatedly said that the band performs modern Cossack songs.
Despite its long history (the band was born in 1986), it is in a great musical and creative shape. The band writes new songs and creates new concert programs.
During this jubilee concert, you will hear the hits from the band’s best albums.
The myth lives on, the legend continues, and every listener takes part in that.
