Musical-Poetic Soirée of the Russian and Foreign Poetry "Oh, Woman, Beauty of the Earth!"

The musical-poetic soirée of the Russian and foreign poetry "Oh, Woman, Beauty of the Earth!" with lyrics and vocal works based on poems by domestic and foreign poets is dedicated to woman as the source of inspiration, bliss, passion, and love. The classic of the Russian literature Maksim Gorky named woman “an inexhaustible source of the all-conquering life”. He wrote, " Without the Sun flowers do not blossom, without love there is no happiness, without a woman there is no love, without mother there is neither a poet, nor a hero.”

At the musical-poetic soirée “Oh, Woman, Beauty of the Earth!” you will hear works of great authors, the lyrics of which creates poetically generalized image of love which inspires poets among them fragrant and sensual verses of Alexander Pushkin, sonnets of Petrarch and William Shakespeare, glorifying WOMAN which was the source of creative inspiration for them.

Lyrical poems by Alexander Blok, Sergey Yesenin, Sergey Ostrovoy, Vasily Fyodorov, Anatoly Zemlyansky, Attila József, Orhan Veli, Nâzım Hikmet will be performed by the remarkable masters of the artistic word: the National Artists of Russia Valery Abramov, Alexander Dick, Nikolai Lazarev, artists Larisa Kazakova and Sergey Smirnov, and Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Viktor Yakimov. On this evening, there will be a lot of music, well known and written for this programme romances and songs.
