For many decades, Muslim Magomayev was an idol for millions and his name became symbolic in the Russian art. The Moscow Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonic” and singer Metodie Bujor have prepared a special program in commemoration of the legendary singer and composer. 

Several generations were in love with the extraordinarily beautiful baritone, high artistry and heartfelt generosity of Muslim Magomayev. His capabilities were extraordinarily wide – operas, musicals, Neapolitan songs and vocal compositions by Azerbaijani and Russian composers, pop songs. In the 1960s and 1970s, the popularity of Magomayev in the USSR was infinite: he performed for thousands at stadiums, touring around the Soviet Union and abroad (France, Bulgaria, Poland, Canada, Finland, Iran etc.) At the age of 31, the singer was awarded the title of People’s Artist of the USSR. But, of course, the ultimate reward is the sincere and boundless love and the memory of grateful listeners.
