Real Jam is one of the most popular vocal and instrumental groups in Moscow. Three vocalists and seven instrumentalists (percussions, contrabass, guitar/banjo, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and piano) revive traditions of old jazz and take the listener to the times of black-and-white cinema, big bands and vinyl records. Every concert is a travel in time to jazz accompaniment: from the New Orleans and Chicago jazz of the first quarter of the 20th century, continuing with traditions of the swing of the 30s and the most significant jazz melodies of the 40s and the 50s.
Thanks to the original arrangements that are true to the genre, three-part vocals combined with high mastery of musicians, Real Jam managed to find its place and to become irreplaceable on the Russian jazz scene. In the autumn of 2016 the band celebrates 7 years of its concert activity.
Musicians of Real Jam are residents of the most authoritative jazz stages of Moscow (Union of Composers, Esse Jazz Cafe, Durov art club, club Forte, Igor Butman's Club and many others), and also the largest clubs and philharmonic halls of Russia.
True fans of jazz could have seen Real Jam perform at such musical festivals, as Usadba. Jazz (Arkhangelskoe), Jazz Spring (St. Petersburg, JFC club), Moscow Jazz Festival (Moscow), Saturday Jazz (Moscow), Jazz Fever (Perm), JAZZ IN MINSK (Minsk, Belarus), Jazz Koktebel (Koktebel) and many others.
