Stars of Argentine Tango "Piazzolliana"

31 March

On March 31, in the Small Hall of the State Kremlin Palace there will be a bright show of stars of Argentine Tango "Piazzolliana", based on the best musical works of Astor Pantaleón Piazzolla, the brilliant composer and outstanding musician of the XX century.

The audience will be presented to the third season of the project "Tango de oro" (Golden Tango).

The guests will get acquainted with the brightest versions of the dance performed by magnificent star dancers of Argentine Tango: Estanislao Roberto Herrera, Vladislav Kovalenko, Alexander Manyasev, Mikhail Kozhatkin, Paola Gerace, Ksenia Putko, Olesya Grigorieva, Olga Barsukova, Alexandra Mashina. They are representatives of the new generation of dancers, choreographers and the best teachers of Argentine Tango. Their dance is incomprehensible; one can only follow the elusive combinations of steps and movements, giving himself up to the power of scorching rhythms and nostalgic melodies.

The dancers attract us not only by their high professionalism, virtuosic technique, but also by the passion shown in their tango dance.

All the shows of the project "Golden Tango" are distinguished by a realistic staging of group dances of Argentine Tango: from the classical to the avant-garde Piazzollian dances, which gives them a flavour of unique creativity and individuality.

The Russian and Argentine dancers, participants of the show, are prizewinners, judges, participants of international championships and festivals, in Russia and in countries of Europe, Southeast Asia and in Argentina.

One of the world’s best cult tango-orchestras "Tango en Vivo" will help to create the magical atmosphere of Argentine Tango music.

Ivan Talanin, the leader of this tango-orchestra, is a laureate of more than ten prestigious international contests: Golden Trophy (First Prize, Washington, USA), Arrasate Hiria (Third Prize, Arrasate, Spain), Der Internationale Akkordeonwettbewerb Klingenthal (First Prize, Klingenthal, Germany) and others. Orchestra members: Ivan Talanin - bandoneon, Anton Semke - violin, Dmitry Kiselev - piano, Nikita Kekher - double bass.

The magic voice of this evening is Anna Averina, the magnificent singer, conferencier, laureate of Russian and international contests.

The singer is known not only as a great performer of Russian romances, but also as the owner of an amazing manner of reproduction of Latin American compositions. In the opinion of the music critics community, Anna is one of the best pop singers in Russia, truly and accurately performing the music of Argentine Tango.

The culmination of the evening will be a tango master-class with a possibility for every guest to dance Argentine Tango, as on the milonga, with the support of the tango star dancers.

No wonder the tango continues to live for so many years, it is one of the deepest expressions of our individuality.

The passionate Argentine Tango - "the touching union of despair and happiness" - excites millions of men and women throughout the world, people of all professions, ages and beliefs. Existing already for more than a century, this dance strikes today with a variety of stylistic directions - from the traditional dance, based on the basic elements, to virtuoso choreographic compositions with elements of acrobatics.

"The style in which we dance is very individual, - recognized the dancers, - it is distinguished by elegance and demonstrates our common passion for this dance. This is the result of all positive emotions and experiences, which we have absorbed, in the best traditions of both the old and the new school of Argentine Tango..."

Tango is a great novelty in the musical and dance culture of the XX century, although it is deeply rooted in the musical traditions of Latin America. One of the most important sources of tango is emigrants from Europe, mainly from Italy and Germany. We must not forget that the main instrument bandoneon (a kind of accordion) is a German invention. Tango is a purely urban, Buenos Aires genre. Argentine folk music is mostly music borrowed from gaucho, and it is very different from tango, although tango took a lot from it.
