The music of Johann Strauss, named the king of the waltz, has long turned into the symbol of a brilliant celebration. The beauty of the Strauss melodies, the luxury of the orchestral colors, the ingenuity and wit of his dance plays for more than two centuries have been irresistibly influencing any public – from simple listeners to the famous musicians of the world. Therefore, what can be better, than spending the New Year's eve in the company of delightful melodies of the Austrian genius, giving into the mood of general fun. The Great Hall of the conservatory offers such a festive program to all who wish to be filled with the joyful mood for the whole year ahead.
The New Year's concert features the most well-known waltzes of Johann Strauss – The Blue Danube, Voices of Spring, Tales from the Vienna Woods, the famous polkas Trictrac, Pizzicato, At Hunt, Thunder and Lightning, and even Gangster gallop. Of course, no program can do without a selection of bright vocal numbers from the Strauss operettas! The soloists of the Moscow New Opera theater of E. Kolobov, winners of the international competitions, recognized masters of the vocal art of the soprano Olga Ionova and the baritone Aleksander Martynov will participate in the concert. Popular waltzes and arias from operettas in their execution will be accompanied by the symphonic orchestra and the Maestro Arsentiy Tkachenko.
