On November 13, the Grand Hall of the State Kremlin Palace will host a grandiose concert of creative teams of the Krasnodar Philharmonic named after G. F. Ponomarenko. On the main stage of the country more than three hundred artists will present multinational culture of Kuban and North Caucasus. By means of music, songs, and dances, they will tell the story of the Cossack land, express their love and fidelity to Russia.
The Cossack Boldness show program included the best pieces, both brand new and long-time favorite. The name of the program explicitly states Caucasian boldness and lyrical sincerity. This is probably the only group in Russia, where the choral group of artists dances is no worse than the dance team. The dance team performers are high-class professionals, the best in Russia masters of genre dances.
As a crossroad of cultures, the Kuban region represents the diversity and richness of cultural and historical heritage. Vivid, large-scale, rich in the content, the show will demonstrate why Kuban is a unique Russian region.
Widely-known songs written by People’s Artist of the USSR Grigory Ponomarenko include Orenburg Downy Shawl, Volgograd Birch, The Golden Grove, I Do not Regret, Do not Call, do not Cry, Poplar Trees, Handkerchief, I Will Call You a Daybreak, Willow, Where Could I Get Such a Song, I Look in Blue Lakes, What happened Has already Happened, Little Bell, Oh Snow, White Blizzard, and others will be performed during the concert. These songs are widely known everywhere in this country and they have become real folk songs.
Krasnodar artists will bring with them about a thousand wonderful colorful costumes and original scenery. The program will undoubtedly welcome Muscovites with Kuban warmth and charge their mood for a long time.
Krasnodar Philharmonic is one of the largest concert organizations in the South of Russia, it has an extensive creative potential. The Philharmonic ensembles were participants of the cultural program of the Russia-ASEAN international summit in Sochi. In 2016, these ensembles performed at the opening ceremony of the ninth World Choir Games, which our country hosted for the first time. The groups are regular participants of the traditional reception for members of the State Council of the Russian Federation.
