On March 16 and 17, 2018 in the State Kremlin Palace will be held shows of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s famous musical “The Phantom of the Opera” in concert performance. The company "Stage Entertainment" in Russia received an exclusive license to show three unique concerts in Moscow.
“Stage Entertainment” emphasizes that they are proud to return to “The Phantom of the Opera”, a product that is adored by viewers around the world. This musical turned the perceptions of the genre and musical theatre as a whole, by becoming its benchmark for several decades. More than 30 years of daily shows in dozens of countries throughout the world - an unattainable height! Three concerts in the Kremlin give a unique chance to hear the whole musical live in Russian, accompanied by a large symphony orchestra and performed by a first-class Russian troupe, which managed for two years of the daily performances to win the hearts of almost a million spectators.
This is a gift not only to Russian fans of the performance, which are lucky to get in these two days in the main concert hall of the country, but to its legendary creator – composer Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber just on the eve of his 70th anniversary.
Two years after the end of the rental of the musical in Moscow, on the stage of the Kremlin Palace will gather: the laureate of the National Theatrical Award "Golden Mask" for the main role in "The Phantom of the Opera" Dmitry Ermak, the laureates of the award "Golden Mask" Ivan Ozhogin and Yuri Mazikhin, opera singers Elena Bakhtiyarova, Tamara Kotova, Irina Samoilova, Grammy Award winner Ekaterina Lyokhina, famous theatre actors Evgeny Zaitsev, Elena Charkviani, Alexey Bobrov and many others.
In January 2018, “The Phantom of the Opera” by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber celebrates its 30th anniversary on Broadway. The musical, recognized by the world record on the duration of daily rental, won 70 prestigious theatrical awards and hearts of 140 million spectators in 166 cities of 35 countries of the world. The Russian production of the legendary musical, which premiered on October 4, 2014, became unprecedented for the history of the Russian theatre. For two years of daily rental on the stage of the Moscow Youth Palace, about a million of spectators watched the musical. According to the RBC rating, "The Phantom of the Opera" became the most grossing spectacular event of the 2014-2015 season, ahead of super-popular shows, television programmes, concerts, exhibitions and festivals.
