June 10, 2019 marked the 90th anniversary of Lyudmila Georgiyevna Zykina, National Artist of the USSR, Hero of Socialist Labor, and State Prizes laureate.
Great Russian singer Lyudmila Zykina by right personifies genuine glory of the Russian culture. She dedicated all her bright creative activity and unique talent to serving her country. It was not by chance that Lyudmila Georgiyevna was regarded as the symbol of Russia. Her repertory included over 2,000 songs that are known and loved by the population across the country.
The singer gave performances to support the Russian military in all the “hot spots” of the world, including Chernobyl, Afghanistan, Transnistria, Chechnya. She toured over 200 countries and gave concerts all across the Soviet Union and later in Russia and post-Soviet space. Total issue of her discs exceeded 6 million copies. However, her greatest heritage is the true love of people that has been alive for many years.
The events and concerts to mark 90th anniversary of great singer are held throughout the year in Moscow as well as in other regions of Russia.
The most significant event in this range is the unique concert program entitled “Tribute to Great Singer” that will be held on November 26 in the State Kremlin Palace and will bring together real stars among outstanding Russian performers and bands.
