The Beryozka State Academic Dance Ensemble Named after N.S. Nadezhdina. Jubilee Concert
The world-famous Beryozka State Academic Choreographic Ensemble was founded in 1948 by Nadezhda Nadezhdina, the outstanding choreographer of the 20th century. Being a woman of the highest culture and erudition, she was well aware of the creative potential of the Russian people, and saw it through the eyes of the poet.
The popularity immediately came to Beryozka. Its frequent tours through the Soviet Union were accompanied by triumphant success; the tours abroad brought the ensemble the world recognition.
The results of the creative work of Nadezhda Nadezhdina were enthusiastically applauded on all continents of the planet.
During the Cold War, the foreign press wrote about the performances of the ensemble as a "fiery sensation" and testified that the art of “Beryozka”, human and inspired, "awakens good feelings and faith to the people’s brotherhood." The World Peace Council as early as in 1959 awarded "Beryozka" Gold Medal of Peace.
